| What
is "Academic
Search"? |
|
SchoolAtlas.com
is organized in the way that textbooks and educators generally
present material. We make efficient use of our categories, and only
add the most appropriate resources for every subject. We do not add
endless icons for "cool" sites, nor do we continually expand our
database into endless categories that defeat the purpose of simple academic
searching. We produce the finest results for broad terms, such as
"philosophy" or "Romans". Yet, we also produce great results for
"Emerson" or "Aristotle". In the event when we do not produce an
academic match, we will search the web, all within our look and feel |
| What
is the Difference between
Web Search and Academic
Search? |
|
In the event that our academic
database does not turn up results, we will automatically search the best
sites on the web for results. This includes other popular search
engines. Simply put, we do not come up empty! |
| What
are the "Reference Tools"? |
| In addition to our
search engine, we also offer a variety of extra resources to help students
and teachers. The Reference Tools are neatly organized to be access
from anywhere on the site, and include online dictionary, thesaurus, maps
and countries search, as well as books and author search. |
